A Word About Us
Management Major Advancement Club was founded in 2013, and is a non-profit organization located at Seattle University. The goal of MMAC is to engage with Albers students, alumni, and faculty to promote the Management major at Seattle University. We are looking forward to having 2-3 events per quarter, in variety of themes. We will also work to help potential students learn more about the Management major and assist current Management major students’ in career planning.
Executive Board Members
Claudia Dominguez
President
Claudia Dominguez is a senior at Seattle University majoring in Marketing and Management and minoring in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and International Business. While serving as the President for MMAC, Claudia works as a Student Administrative Assistant for the Albers Management and Marking Departments, volunteers as a mentor for the First2Soar Program, and is a Naef Scholar. Over the summer, she worked as an Operational Administrative Intern for NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, in Pasadena, California and found an interest in project management. In her free time, Claudia enjoys meeting new people, seeing new places, and spending time with her friends and family.
Merry Ruat
Director of Operations
Merry Ruat is a junior at Seattle University majoring in Management. While serving as the Director of Operations for MMAC, she also works as a Data Entry Assistant at Undergraduate Admissions, volunteers at the Outreach Center, and is a Fostering scholar. Currently, she is looking for internship opportunities to explore future career interests. She is a music lover; she plays guitar, piano, and sings. She also enjoys the outdoor, adventures, and spending time with friends and family.
Joshua Wu
Director of Finance
Joshua Wu is a Junior at Seattle University majoring in Finance and Management. He currently works at the Information Technology Department for Seattle University. Joshua found his passion for management by watching and being inspired by department heads at IT. Joshua enjoys eating, travelling, and playing video games during his down time.
Jaidev Vella
Director of Marketing
Jaidev Vella is a freshman student majoring in Business Management. Over the breaks, he has interned at tech companies and learnt mobile application prototyping. His main interests include keeping himself updated about the global happenings in the area of business, participating in a variety of business-related programs and learning new languages. When he is not working, he pursues photography and experiments with new design methods.
Victor M. Tapia
Director of Communications
Victor Tapia is a junior at Seattle University majoring Business Management and minoring in Entrepreneurship. As a transfer student from the University of Washington, he is responsible for internal/external communication for MMAC. Victor is a part-time intern for McKinstry as a project engineer. Additionally, Victor enjoys volunteering with Washington Trails Association and is a Gates Millennium Scholar. As a first-generation college student, he enjoys to contribute to his community, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
Tsz Him Yu
Director of Membership
Tsz Him Yu is a junior at Seattle University majoring in Business Administration and Management. Him is an international student from Hong Kong. He is serving as the Director of membership for MMAC. Him likes to organize or plan before action and always wants to keep a good relationship with everyone. In his free time, Him enjoys meeting new people and travelling new places.
